OHIO DEPARTMENTS BUILDING

• This Interior strip-out of a 16-story historical courthouse landmark was located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building exterior was not to be compromised, so an interior shaft was devised for the removal of debris and later used for construction material ingress. A series of aligned holes were cut through 15 floors of the building and later replaced.
• The construction shaft was integral in maintaining critical path scheduling while providing cost effective pricing. O'Rourke was responsible for the design and construction of this shaft as part of it's demolition subcontract.
