State Prison of Southern Michigan Jackson, Michigan
- Selective demolition of reinforced concrete Cell Blocks 4 & 5. Work included design and installation of a structural steel shoring system to brace the exterior walls that were being left in place for historical reasons. Once braced, the roof and five (5) tier cell blocks were demolished from the inside with a 70,000 ton Hydraulic Excavator placed over the wall of the Prison. All debris was hoisted out of the cell blocks utilizing a 100-Ton crane and skip pan.
- The Project was performed on a fast track basis. Cell blocks were cleared quickly so that new modular cells could be placed for inmate occupancy.
